Louisa’s journey into the heart of African adventure began in the lecture halls of Konstanz University, where she honed her mathematical prowess. At 23, armed with a degree in mathematics and a passion for education, Louisa set out to make a difference. Her path led her first to Uganda, where she spent several months teaching at a local school, an experience that opened her eyes to the transformative power of travel and cultural immersion.
It was during a subsequent trip to Kenya that Louisa’s life took an unexpected turn. Intending only to visit for a short while, she found herself captivated by the country’s breathtaking landscapes, rich wildlife, and warm-hearted people. What started as a brief exploration evolved into a deep love affair with Kenya’s hidden wonders.
Louisa’s analytical mind, combined with her newfound passion for adventure, proved to be a perfect match for the world of travel. She realized that her skills in mathematics and budgeting could be invaluable in creating sustainable, accessible travel experiences for others. This realization, coupled with her desire to share Kenya’s magic with the world, led to the birth of Daring Escapes.
